Lasers for Plasma Diagnostics

InnoLas are a major supplier of pulsed ruby lasers for a variety of applications. Based upon our revolutionary carbon fibre laser head structure, these lasers offer unrivalled thermal and mechanical stability.

Despite being the first laser material developed, Ruby’s unique combination of properties still has much to offer.  High single-pulse energies, narrow bandwidths and long pulse lengths, coupled with an operating wavelength of 694nm placing it inside the operating range of most detector types mean that there are many applications where Ruby remains the laser of choice.

The PDSR series of lasers was specially developed with Thomson Scattering and LIDAR applications in mind.  These lasers are installed in Nuclear Fusion experiments in locations around the world.  Two standard models are offered - the PDSR40, with single-pulse output of 10J, and the PDSR50 giving single pulse energies up to 25J - however the modular design makes it easy for us to customise these lasers to suit individual requirements.  Double pulse Pockels cell electronics are offered as standard, with more pulses available if needed.
